When you bring home your new four legged friend, you are going to want to get the training process going right away. Until your bulldog puppy is perfectly trained, they need a safe place to where they can do nothing wrong. Crate training your bulldog puppy is the best way to get the ball rolling.

Training a bulldog puppy to use a crate gives the owner a way to control them. Puppies when they are old enough to be taken from their mothers will normally not eliminate where they sleep. I don't suggest feeding your new puppy in their crate as they will spill the water and make a big wet mess. Instead, you will want to have them eat and drink in a designated area outside of the crate every day.

Make sure you line the crate with some old towels or an old comforter that you are willing to have ruined. This way if your bulldog puppy has an accident or tears up the comforter or towels, it's no big deal. They should associate the crate with good things and feel secure in it.
